At CrowdTrace, we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use our service.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us, including: account information such as your email address and name when you register; usage data such as the subreddits you analyze, your scan configurations, and interaction patterns; and analysis results generated through your use of the Service. We also automatically collect certain technical information, including your IP address, browser type, operating system, and device identifiers when you access CrowdTrace.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to: provide, maintain, and improve the CrowdTrace service; process and deliver your pain point analysis results; improve and refine our AI analysis models to deliver more accurate insights; send you updates, security alerts, and account-related notifications; respond to your support requests and inquiries; and detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent or unauthorized use of the Service.
3. Reddit Data
CrowdTrace only accesses and analyzes publicly available Reddit posts and comments. We do not access private subreddits, direct messages, or any content that is not publicly visible on reddit.com. We do not store Reddit user credentials, and we do not require you to link or authenticate a Reddit account. The Reddit data we process is used solely for generating analysis results and is handled in accordance with Reddit's public API terms.
4. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored using encrypted storage with industry-standard security measures. We use TLS/SSL encryption for all data in transit and AES-256 encryption for data at rest. We implement access controls, regular security audits, and monitoring to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction of your personal information. While no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your data.
5. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate CrowdTrace: Anthropic Claude for AI-powered analysis of Reddit data and pain point identification; and Stripe for secure payment processing of subscription fees. These third-party services have their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them. We share only the minimum data necessary for these services to function on our behalf.
6. Cookies
CrowdTrace uses essential cookies to maintain your authentication session and store your preferences, such as your selected theme (light or dark mode). We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies. You can control cookie settings through your browser preferences, but disabling essential cookies may affect the functionality of the Service.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to: access your personal data and analysis results at any time through your account dashboard; request deletion of your account and all associated data; export your analysis data in standard formats (CSV, JSON, or PDF); update or correct your personal information through your account settings; and opt out of non-essential communications. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected].
8. Data Retention
We retain your analysis data and account information for as long as your account remains active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal information and analysis data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain certain information for legal or legitimate business purposes. Anonymized and aggregated data that does not identify you may be retained indefinitely for analytics and service improvement.
9. Children's Privacy
CrowdTrace is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information promptly. If you believe that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at [email protected].
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technologies, legal requirements, or other factors. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will provide notice through the Service or via email. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically to stay informed about how we protect your data.
11. Contact
